| Solution: | The VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP) engaged JPS to facilitate a working group tasked to create an IT standardization plan for its five clinical studies centers. The contract called for development of an enhanced communication flow among the centers and development of a roadmap for IT standardization. This process included the creation of status diagrams for each center, development of consensus on optimal process requirements, and a gap analysis.
JPS facilitated development of the plan using web-based tools and teleconferences among experts at the five clinical centers. Additionally, JPS assisted the group in incorporating informatics based standards into CSP operations. JPS senior staff utilized the results of the working group sessions to produce a set of recommendations for IT standardization and process changes for the clinical studies branch of the VA. |
