Title: VETS Florida Web-Based Guide Agency: U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Requirement: Create an online guide to assist agencies in transitioning veterans to civilian employment. Solution: The Department of Labor hired JPS to apply and evaluate a prototype military transition program with veterans separating in Florida.  JPS worked with employers, educators and veterans' representatives in Florida developing a transition program to train veterans in marketable fields in Florida.  Based on the success of the program in Florida, the Department of Labor asked JPS to develop an online training course that would help employees of Veterans Employment Training Services implement similar transition programs in different parts of the United States.  The training course details every step of the program development process, provides real-life examples, and offers anecdotal advice.
