ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN AND RESTRUCTURING
JPS redesigns organizational structure and develops standard operating procedures, policies, service level agreements, and business processes to enhance workforce productivity. This work includes analyzing functional requirements and resources as well as recommendations decisions related to centralizing/decentralizing functions.
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) – JPS conducted an organizational redesign study of four headquarters functions for the NRCS. JPS proposed organizational design modifications and the supporting business cases as well as revised function statements, staffing plans, and position descriptions.
Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), Office of Inspector General (OIG) – JPS conducted an organizational restructuring project for the OIG. JPS provided short and long term recommendations on the OIG’s structure and workload and addressed potential decentralization to maximize the OIG’s effectiveness in adapting to significant Agency growth.
U.S. Department of State (DOS) – JPS consulted with the government of Pakistan on how best to design and structure a new export control system. This effort was funded by the DOS. JPS provided guidance on the definition of key positions, establishment of strategic goals, and management of the enterprise.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Central Office Human Resources Service (COHRS) – JPS continues to manage an ongoing project that includes a variety of organizational design and development activities including business process reengineering and service level agreements. The project also included identifying and developing a workload tracking tool.
U.S. Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command – JPS analyzed the detailing process for the new Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) platform, then designed and developed a prototype detailing application that is scalable for Navy to use on other platforms, if desired.
U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA)– JPS managed a project to analyze and implement an automated tracking system and an onboarding application; this project also included developing communications and a website.
