TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENT
JPS helps private and public sector clients conduct training needs assessments. Data collection techniques include reviewing existing materials; conducting interviews, job task analyses, and focus groups; and administering web-based surveys.
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) – JPS performed job task analysis and training needs assessments for Federal pipeline safety inspectors. The goal was to evaluate and enhance the training that the Training and Qualifications (TQ) Training Center provides to all inspectors. JPS collected data using interviews, focus groups, and a survey. JPS then facilitated a week-long workshop at the TQ Training Center with key stakeholders to identify training gaps and develop plans to close them. |
